About Kathy

My husband and I have been blessed to be married for 31 years, parents to a son (28) and a daughter (23). We have a new little grandson who is just 3 months old. They have all been supportive when I had career changes or training, or when I decided to begin any new journey such as this one. I have been a teacher of young children for 32 years, and each step of that journey taught me volumes as I worked with beautiful children of all abilities.

Each step of my journey has been necessary to prepare me for the next. The ideas, strategies, recipes and tips that I share here are all lessons that I have learned while life was happening. I am not an expert, just a mom, wife, and teacher who has been inspired by family, friends, and experiences. I have tried to learn and adapt when necessary to fit my situation, my family and my budget.

I hope what I share is helpful and inspires you to explore many ways to love and care for yourself and your family and friends. Remember to adapt ideas, recipes, crafts to suit your situation.
